SEATTLE, Aug. 23, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Amplero, the world's first predictive Customer Value Management (CVM) platform, today announced the appointment Mike Zell as SVP of Customer Success. Harnessing his extensive leadership background in marketing services and strategy, Mike will lead the rapidly expanding customer success team tasked with nurturing and growing Amplero's enterprise customer base.
The addition of Mike is building on the momentum of the company's recent $8 million Series A funding round, as the Amplero team is expecting to nearly double in size by the end of the year. Seattle has built a name for itself as the epicenter of cloud computing and machine learning technologies. The ecosystem built on local tech giants such as Microsoft and Amazon has created a hotbed of technology talent and innovation, where we are increasingly seeing global brands including Google, Facebook, Apple, and Uber in addition to startups like Amplero flocking to the area to capitalize on the mass concentration of talent by starting headquarters or sizable satellite operations in the city. With over two decades of marketing and analytics leadership experience in Seattle, Mike Zell is one such talent local companies have relied on to grow their business.
"What attracted me most about Amplero is that under the hood, there is an extremely solid technology that has been delivering significant ROI with major brands," said Mike Zell. "I'm eager to dive in and build on that trend to help large consumer businesses realize the value their organization could achieve with machine learning in building extended, personalized relationships with their customers."
Prior to his role at Amplero, Zell guided some of the world's most recognizable brands to bring their consumer experiences to life across digital and television media. Most recently, he was vice president of services and strategy at Pointmarc, an analytics consultancy, where he helped grow the business from 30 to 140 professionals in four years before it was acquired by Merkle, a global performance marketing agency. He previously spearheaded digital media as director of advanced optimization at Razorfish and has also worked with several Seattle-area startups. The timing of hiring Mike is well aligned to the young company's rapid growth plans, having recently landed key enterprise customers in the telecom, gaming, and subscription software verticals.
"Mike's experience, seeded through early marketing innovation in AdTech by aQuantive and leading marketing services firms such as Pointmarc and Merkle, closely aligns with the enterprise marketing expertise we need to expand our business and customer roster as we enter the next phase of growth and momentum," said Amplero CEO Dr. Olly Downs. "As we look to grow our team of highly talented and driven executives, we will continue to rely on Seattle's reputation as a machine learning and cloud-based computing mecca to attract leaders such as Mike."
